Why Are Mobile Friendly Websites Important for Brands?

There are many ways that consumers search for products and services. They might ask a friend, search on their desktop computers, read about it in a magazine or see it on TV, or they could just stumble upon what they’re looking for when out shopping, or driving through town. While there are many ways to capture the attention of your potential customers, mobile presents a huge opportunity for brands across industries.

Google says that 51% of smartphone users have discovered a new company or product when doing a search on their mobile devices. Brands need to be sure that they are showing up in the search results page on mobile and giving users a good experience on their site for them to start so that they consider doing business with them. Put yourself in the shoes of your customers. If they find your website on a mobile device, can they easily find the information they are looking for?  Can they find your store location or online shop?  Is your phone number prominently displayed and clickable?  If not, there's a good chance they are leaving your site and finding one of your competitors who has upgraded to a mobile friendly site.

A mobile friendly website is important, but it is just the first step in creating that positive experience for your customers. Easy-to-read text, user-friendly navigation, and fast load times are essential, but there's more to it than that.  What if you don’t know if your website is mobile friendly?
